lighting solutions company located in Nashville, TN, partnered with Whole Foods
Market in a concerted effort toward more energy efficient lighting. “The big thing that they really wanted was
the reduced maintenance costs. Better
lighting and safety was also a big concern for Whole Foods,” reports Davis
Bell, Representative of Trammell Bell.
The Everlast® U.S. Made Parking Garage Fixture utilizes
enhanced optics, improving fixture efficiency 30% and increasing overall light
distribution by 35%. In addition, the
EverLast® Parking Garage Fixture incorporates SMART Bi-Level technology,
stepping down the fixtures to 40% when the area is vacant for a set length of
time. This technology creates the
perfect lighting necessary for improved pedestrian safety in parking
facilities, and energy efficiency for the building the fixtures occupy.
Whole Foods installed the EverLast® Bi-Level garage
fixtures in their parking facility to ensure a greener and cost effective approach
to their Nashville operation, and replaced one hundred and twenty six commonly
used 175 metal halide models. “That
garage was only a few years old when we did the work on it. They had fairly new
lighting in there anyway, but they were having problems with it. Bell stated. “They wanted a better visual, a
brighter light than what they had. I know that the owners of the garage are
very pleased with the way it looks, the aesthetics and for safety reasons
also.”
Bell also suggested that there were additional plans for
lighting changes at Whole Foods Market of Nashville in an effort to minimize
their carbon footprint, but was not able to disclose the details at this time. “The most impressive bonus the client
received by choosing EverLast® is the cost savings evident in their 50%reduced
electrical bill. The client’s old light
fixtures were causing financial concerns due to their maintenance issues and
high level of energy consumption. Their
emergency back-up system suffered from being overloaded by the old light fixture’s
energy consumption, rendering it unreliable.”” said Bell. “The client is very
pleased with the product.”
