International Purchasing Manager Recognized as Electrical Industry Rising Star

EverLast® Lighting’s Kristine Gough Received a National Recognition from tED Magazine in Chicago Earlier this Month

JACKSON, MICHIGAN – July 23rd, 2014 – tED magazine, the official publication of the National Association of Electrical Distributors  (NAED) released its 2014 “30 Under 35” list of rising stars from across the electrical industry earlier this month.  Representing today’s top emerging leaders, the list recognizes 30 talented young professionals who have the initiative, drive, integrity and creativity to move the industry forward in the decades to come.  Kristine Gough, International Purchasing Manager of EverLast Lighting, Inc., was amongst those named to the elite list of prominent industry stars.  “It truly is an esteemed honor to be nominated and awarded as a ‘30 under 35’ winner through tED Magazine.  It is a notable recognition to be identified alongside the remarkably successful and brilliant professionals making up the class of 2014, as well as previous classes,” stated Kristine Gough, International Purchasing Manager  at EverLast® Lighting, Inc.

The competition, open to electrical professionals 34 years old or younger (*at the time of nomination), drew nominations from mentors, managers and other industry leaders working in electrical distribution, manufacturing, and related technology and service organizations. The tED editorial team blindly judged each submission, placing emphasis on such traits as dedication, innovation, leadership and people skills, commitment to training, personal integrity and work-life balance.  “Kristine innovates and implements from the puzzles of what become EverLast® business practices through the use of sound planning, and creative thinking to allow the organization to take shape, “ commented Kyle Leighton, PR Director at EverLast Lighting.  Her position requires an immense amount of innovative thinking and addresses practices from a ‘we’ perspective.”

In addition to tED recognizing the 30 honorees during the special ceremony at the 2014 NAED Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) Conference that took place last week in Chicago; tED recognized the honorees in its July print and online issues as well.  “Sitting in the ballroom with industry colleagues and learning my peers’ resumes and grasping I was part of that group was an unforgettable experience.  The introduction speech was excellent and spot on; it encouraged me to dream bigger, set higher goals, and remain passionate about every task at hand both on a professional and personal level.” Gough explained.

In 2013, Kristine was named to Jackson Magazine’s class of 30 Under 30, a Michigan based publication, as a result of her commitment to professionalism, and exemplary leadership skill set.  Kristine was also named as EverLast Lighting, Inc. 2013 Employee of the Year.

“Bright, up-and-coming talent is the key to our industry’s future,” said Misty Byers, editor of tED magazine. “This is the third year for our ‘30 Under 35’ program, and the response just keeps growing. We had a record number of entries this year; it’s exciting to see so many valued young people in the electrical channel today. Through their accomplishments, the individuals on this list demonstrate they have the skills and knowledge to lead.”
